Who Are We?
More Than an Inmate’s Girlfriend was created by Jae, a women who understands firsthand what it means to love someone who is incarcerated.
Jae hosts the More Than an Inmate’s Girlfriend Podcast, where she interviews prison wives, advocates, and individuals impacted by incarceration. Through honest conversations and real stories, the podcast highlights the emotional realities, legal battles, and personal growth that often come with loving someone behind bars.
More Than an Inmate’s Girlfriend was created to build a space where prison wives, girlfriends, and families of incarcerated individuals can find support, understanding, and real conversations about life while loving someone in prison.
We shed light on the real experiences, challenges, and strengths of those often overlooked, building understanding and community- one episode at a time.
We are so much more than an “inmate’s girlfriend” (or prison wife), our community includes people who have done time and their loved ones. We wish to share your voice and experience around incarceration, however that may look.
